During the D10 Conference , Apple CEO Tim Cook was asked about Siri , the iPhone 4S virtual assistant, and why it seems to alternative from working almost like magic to not working at all. Walt Mossberg pressed Cook about Siri being a beta, and asked if Cook was satisfied with its performance so far. Cook gave a fairly pro forma answer about Siri's popularity, but also said a lot of people at Apple were working on Siri, and that in the coming months, we'll be seeing more, including more "breadth".

All I would have wanted was a faster iPad

The Retina display is great, but I’m not a designer or a photographer and I still read more on a computer and on paper than I do on my iPad. I have a Wi-Fi iPad so LTE isn’t a consideration for me

New iPad power indicator reportedly two hours too fast

According to some recent reports, the new iPad battery level indicator seems to shows a full tank two hours and ten minutes before it’s actually charged to full capacity. This news means, contrary to appearances, it really takes about 9 hours to get a full charge from scratch. The tests were run by DisplayMate , the fine folks that analyzed the display on the new iPad . If accurate, this would be the second time an iOS indicator was found to be misreporting state.

Localytics has recently compiled some of their data through apps, and has concluded that only 6% of iPad sessions are made through a cellular network of some kind.
