It seems pretty well understood that you should not text or talk while driving, however with the full-featured smartphones that we are using these days — that still leaves plenty of other features. You have the option to use your smartphone as a media player and also navigation to name a few. But now it seems that the not talking or texting while driving is turning into a case of do not pick up your phone at all while driving.

Foursquare for BlackBerry isn't in the slightest bit new - but it is new for BlackBerry 10 ! If you like to be social and share your location with friends then you will want to have Foursquare on your new shiny BlackBerry. It seems to have become common practice to 'check in' to locations such as restaurants and bars etc. I'm not totally sure why - I suppose most of us now do it because we can, rather than actually using the app to meet up with buddies and share good places

TomTom Navigation app gets support for more than 200 more devices

TomTom , one of the leaders in GPS navigation, has just dropped an update for its Android app. The update adds some new features, but the most important part of the update is that it adds support for more than 200 new Android devices. This means a ton of new people will be able to use the app to find their way from one place to another.

I got into a conversation with my mother-in-law a few nights ago about how as kids, we used to play outside whenever we had the chance. Over the summer I'd be out right after breakfast, only coming home to eat dinner, then go back out as long as there was daylight. Not anymore.

CoPilot GPS navigation app goes free for Android

If you had, your eye out for a quality, GPS navigation app for your Android smartphone, a new free app is now available on Google Play . The app is CoPilot GPS, a free version of ALK’s navigation software. ALK also has CoPilot Live for Android offering turn-by-turn navigation and off-line mapping selling for £20.

ASUS Transformer Prime GPS dongles shipping now

Last week ASUS opened up a registration page for owners of the Eee Pad Transformer Pad who were dissatisfied with the all-metal tablet’s GPS reception, promising to send them an external GPS dongle to fix the issue. The first of those dongles (or as ASUS calls them, the “TF201 GPS Extension Kit”) are now reaching owners’ homes.
