If you’re still proudly rocking the Motorola DROID Bionic we have some rather exciting news this afternoon to report. It looks like the highly anticipated update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for the Bionic is finally in the testing phase, and should hopefully wrap up and be delivered to users shortly.

If you own the Motorola Droid Bionic smartphone, there is an indication that a new update for the device may be rolling out soon. The smartphone only received its Android 4.0 update in October of 2012.
Motorola has been pretty good about keeping users up to date in terms of which devices were being upgraded and when those updates could be expected to begin rolling out. Granted, that is not to say they have been the fastest to update, but more that they have offered a regularly updated “Software Upgrade News” page.
If you’re the proud owner of Motorola’s popular DROID Bionic smartphone then we have some potentially excellent news for you. Apparently multiple reports have been hitting the wires that Motorola and Verizon are finally ready to start the “soak test” for the Bionic’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update — which I’m sure many are impatiently waiting for. The folks from Droid-Life are reporting that they’ve received multiple emails stating the usual soak test emails from the Motorola feedback network are being sent to Bionic users.
The still extremely popular Motorola DROID Bionic is getting some slightly good news today. While we are still awaiting the official update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich it looks like the folks from Motorola are getting close. Personally I think the Bionic should get updated before the RAZR, but that’s just me

While it has received its fair share of updates since being released, and many to try and fix 4G LTE issues, today they’ve went ahead and started pushing another. We first mentioned it was coming last week, and today it’s arriving for users so get ready to hopefully see some improvements.
We have good news to confirm this afternoon for all you DROID Bionic owners. After Verizon posted update support details and documents earlier this week we can happily report an over the air update is rolling out for the BIONIC as we speak. The update is rather small but fixes one critical flaw multiple users have been complaining about
Motorola and Verizon’s DROID Bionic is set to receive another update in the coming weeks as Motorola has started sending out their usual “soak test” invites for owners to participate in the testing phase. There’s no telling if this is an incremental update, or Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich at this point.
